Comeback Steroid Player of the AL Award Friday 10/07/05
I know that the fans voted for Jason Giambi to win the comeback player of the year award but I have to say I am very disappointed. This award was the one that you could vote online for and unfortunately people decided to give Giambi another award along with the other MVP award he stole when he was with the Oakland A’s. The award was attended for players that back from injuries not abusing steroids. I guess the fact that he somewhat admitted he had taken steroids or the fact that the grand jury testimony leaked the Balco case pushed him to have a news conference and apologize about something he “couldn’t talk about”. We are a forgiving society, especially when it comes to sports athletes but I believe baseball fans and sports fans in general have to draw a line and say enough is enough!
